The future doesn’t exists like some definite object or phenomenon, it doesn’t exists yet. There are things in life that are definite, the sunrise and sunset, the different seasons based on what part of the earth you live in, those things will surely happen, or better still, most likely happen, we even can’t be so sure of that. For all we know, a meteorite can hit the earth and change the way the earth turns around the sun for ever.
The point is, the future is not certain. The future is premised on a series of actions we make, it’s based on the choices we make today. Our choices creates our future and many times, the choices of others that have impact on our lives, in the same vein, our lives will have impact on the lives of others.
The future isn’t set. It’s like JK Rowling and that blank page that became The Sorcerer’s stone. It’s like an artist with a blank canvas, the future, is something we create, deliberately or not.
The future doesn’t exists yet, but if you have a painting in your mind, you have got to try to paint it into reality. If you have an invention, a message, a new concept that will affect reality and shape your world differently, bring it on, the world is eagerly waiting for you.
Humanity is in constant struggle to rebirth itself, maybe it shouldn’t be so, or maybe that’s the way we chose, the point is, you are responsible for whatever life you live.
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Or can you paint with all the colours of the wind?
So take the step, give it the strokes. Most often than not, life won’t offer you things on platters, but except you place demands through your actions and the choices you make daily, nay, every moment.
Let’s take a dive into 2020 confident that we are in charge, changing our world!
